By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:

-Explain what are the conditions can a clinic deny access to a person’s personal health information. 
-Explain what is the second confidentiality problem under HIPAA. 
-Explain what is a challenge concerning healthcare organizations ensuring HIPAA compliance. 
-Explain if the health care provider can tell the patient’s family members, if a patient with a serious mental illness has stopped taking a prescribed medication.
